Sharp Coronado Hospital will hold free flu shot clinics on Monday, Oct. 11 from noon to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1 from noon to 4 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon.

It is always important to get your flu shot, but during this pandemic it is more important than ever. An annual flu shot has been shown to help prevent or reduce the severity of the influenza virus. The flu vaccine is recommended every year, beginning in September. No appointment is necessary; walk-ins only.

Flu shots will be given while supplies last. Standard dose vaccine is only available at these clinics. The high dose vaccine will be unavailable at this event. If you are age 65 older and would like a high-dose flu shot, they are available at the Sharp Coronado Community Pharmacy, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a walk-in basis.

The Free Flu Shot Clinics will be located outside the Sandermann Education Center, Sharp Coronado Hospital, 265 Soledad Place, Coronado.
