Coronado Public Library has teamed up with Warwick’s Bookstore to reprise its author luncheons, which allow members of the public to experience an intimate afternoon with an author. The first event will feature Lucy Crawford, author of the critically acclaimed memoir “Notes on a Silencing,” at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30 in the Winn Room.

“Notes on a Silencing” is Crawford’s account of the sexual assault she suffered at age 15 at St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire, and the lengths the school took to cover up the incident to protect its reputation.

The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Coronado Public Library. For $40, attendees receive a box lunch and a signed copy of the book.

Please note that this book deals with sexual assault, which could upset some readers.
