Coaches Needed:

The Coronado Recreation and Golf Services Department needs youth basketball volunteer coaches. Adults with basic to advanced basketball skills are welcome. This community program is hosted in the Coronado Community Center’s Gymnasium. The youth basketball commitment is for eight weeks of play and includes once a week practices for one-hour on a week day afternoon of your choosing and one hour games on Saturday afternoons. The season is Dec. 2 to Feb. 8 with breaks for holidays. Contact League Coordinator, Ely McMahon by email at or by phone at 619-522-2459 for more information. Skills assessment day for boys and girls is Nov. 6.

Players Wanted:

Players are wanted. Join in our eight-week, non-competitive basketball experience from Dec. 2 to Feb. 8 at 4:30 p.m. for grades 3 and 4 and at 5:30 p.m. for grades 5 and 6 at the Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way. Cost is $165 for residents and $175 for nonresidents. A skills assessment day is set for Wednesday, Nov. 6.
