San Diego County health officials have announced that vaccinations will be expanded to include three new sectors – emergency service personnel, childcare and education, and food and agriculture -- starting Saturday, Feb. 27. With vaccination delivery back on schedule following severe winter weather, the City and Sharp Coronado Hospital Vaccination Site continues to administer the Moderna vaccine.

For two days last week, Sharp administered the Pfizer vaccine and will email those patients to reschedule for a second Pfizer dose. San Diego County residents may make appointments by using the County’s Vaccination Sites and Locations site, https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/sdc/hhsa/programs/phs/community_epidemiology/dc/2019-nCoV/vaccines/COVID-19-VaxEvents.html. Emails will be sent to those who received their first dose in Coronado with a link to available dates for a second dose.

Appointments are required. If Coronado residents do not have a computer or family to help make an appointment, staff and the City’s Library are available to help. Call 619-522-7390. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.
