Coronado’s Annual 4th of July Rough Water Swim has a great history and this year marks 61 years of hosting this amazingly patriotic swim.

Swimmers of all ages and abilities compete in a variety of distances. All participants receive an event t-shirt (not guaranteed for day-of registrations), finisher medal, and swim cap. This ocean swim is a fantastic way to start the July 4th holiday!

Check in starts at 7 a.m. on July 4. Early check-in is available on July 3, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at BBMAC pool 818 Sixth Street at the Coronado High School pool.

Each year participants come from all over the world to challenge themselves in this annual event. With age groups from under 12 to over 70 years old demonstrating their commitment to ocean swimming everyone will enjoy entering or watching the challenge. Day of Registrations include participants who sign up in-person, after electronic registration has closed at 12 p.m. on July 3. This includes indivduals who sign up at early race check-in at the BBMAC on July 3 from 4:30 to 6:30. All “day of registrations” are $65 for all events.
