Gather your family, then get on your bicycles, to ride to The City of Coronado’s third annual Bike-in-Movie. Coronado Bikes to the Movies Event features “Mary Poppins Returns” on the big screen on Friday, May 17, in Tidelands Park. This is your opportunity to join Jane and Michael Banks once again on a magical adventure guided by their former nanny, Mary Poppins.
Funded by The San Diego Association of Governments Bike Grant and The San Diego Unified Port District, Coronado Bikes to the Movies hosts free pre-screen bicycle activities from 6:30 to 8 p.m. including a Mini Bicycle Rodeo, Walk-Up Bicycle Mechanics and a Bike to Spin Prize Wheel.
This Disney sequel to the 1964 beloved classic stars Emily Blunt and Lin Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame with surprise guest appearances by Dick Van Dyke, Angela Landsbury, Colin Firth and Meryl Streep. When Mary Poppins drops in on the Banks’ home to take children Anabel, John and Georgie on an unforgettable journey, depression area London comes alive with animated penguins, horse and carriages and flying bicycles.
