English as a Second Language (ESL) programs offer non-native English speakers the chance to learn or improve their communication skills.

In Coronado’s Adult Education Beginning ESL class, students will practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the context of everyday situations and U.S. culture. Students will gain a basic foundation of the English language through tasks and activities that can help in life or work. This class will be held in person on Wednesday evenings, beginning September 15th. NOTE: The Coronado Adult Education Program will follow public health protocols consistent with industry guidelines for the K-12 school sector.

In Coronado’s Adult Education Multi-Level Zoom Class, students are able to practice their English with fellow students from around-the-world. Whether you live in San Diego County permanently, or are just passing through Coronado, we invite you to join this free class where you set your own pace. This class will be taught remotely via Zoom, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, beginning September 7th. Improve your reading, pronunciation, vocabulary development, and conversational skills through discussions of current events. The focus of this class is group discussion, learning the stories behind the news, and having fun!
