The City of Coronado has initiated a project to transform the SR-75 toll booth plaza into the Coronado Gateway. The goal is to create a community vision for a gateway that represents the beauty, history and character of Coronado. The public is invited to “envision the Coronado Gateway” at the first public workshop to learn about design treatments and provide input on what values and components are most important to you and your community. The workshop will be held on Jan. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Community Center, 1845 Strand Way.

The workshop will include brainstorming and small group discussion where the public can share their ideas and work in groups to capture the vision for the Coronado Gateway. Please bring a tablet/iPad/smart phone to participate in the live online survey. The poll will be available online as well as in paper format to complete in person at the workshop. Take the poll and see what the rest of the community is saying.

Please contact Ed Walton, Director of Engineering, with questions or concerns at 619-522-7385 or ewalton@coronado.ca.us or visit the project website at www.coronadogateway.com.
