In 1966 the Fisks packed again and moved to Bangkok, Thailand where then Major Fisk worked special projects for Joint US Military Advisory Group (JUSMAG). In 1968 he was assigned to the Office of the Chief of Information at the Pentagon where he worked press and media relations for the Army. From 1970-71 Fisk was Chief of News in Vietnam where he was the official spokesman with the international news media for Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV) and was responsible for the daily news briefings called the “Five O’clock Follies.” He worked routinely with many of the leading journalists of the time.
