Starting the week of March 1, the City’s site for COVID-19 viral, rapid and antibody testing will operate one day a week at the Coronado Club Room and Boathouse, 1985 Strand way. The City has offered this testing site for the convenience of Coronado residents since January. However, due to a reduction in the number of people seeking testing, the site will only be open on Mondays. Insurance is accepted but individuals may be tested and pay directly. If paying onsite, COVID-19 tests will cost $120; antibody testing is $65; and rapid tests are $85 and not typically covered by insurance. Visit the City’s COVID-19 testing webpage for more information and a link to the reservation system. For information, call (619) 522-7300. On a similar note, there have been reports of unauthorized testing sites. Now is a good time to remind the community to seek testing at authorized testing locations only.
