DOOR AND GATE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

AND AS-NEEDED REPAIR SERVICES

Contract no. 21-gs-fac-001

The City of Coronado, California, issues a Request for Bids to perform complete maintenance and as-needed repair services of doors and gates for City facilities in compliance with the manufacturers’ guidelines.

Receipt of Bids: All bid proposals must be received by the City Clerk’s office PRIOR TO 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Pre-Bid Conference: A mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Public Services, 101 B Avenue, Coronado, California.

***Note*** Due to COVID-19 restrictions pertaining to gatherings, all bidders must RSVP for the pre-bid conference by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020. Attendance is restricted to two (2) persons per organization/company. Health screenings, masks, and social distancing will be required. Please submit your RSVP, including company name and employee names, via email to

. Bidders that fail to RSVP may be unable to participate in facility tours.

Bid Security: Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid shall accompany the Bid.

. The City Representative will post responses to all submitted questions on the City of Coronado website (

) by 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Contractor’s License: The successful bidder will be required to possess a current State of California “C-61” Contractor’s License at the time the Contract is awarded.

Prevailing Wage: In accordance with the California Labor Code, the Contractor must pay not less than prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations for all repair work done under this contract. Contractors must also be registered with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations per Labor Code Section 1771.1(a).

Project Documents: The project documents include the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Green Book), 2018 Edition; the San Diego Regional Standard Drawings for Public Works, 2018 Edition; the Coronado Annotations to the San Diego Regional Standards, and the contract documents.
