Love endures…as does the timeless classic of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. In this modern, fast-paced interpretation, we root and weep for the young lovers whose dreams are shattered by the realities of life and family. Bitterness and recrimination are juxtaposed with the poetry of attraction and desire, making the story as relevant today as when audiences first experienced it. Audiences will experience Shakespeare’s original text in a contemporary setting with the lovelorn Romeo and Juliet and their families dressed in current day attire as the bittersweet tragedy unfolds on the streets of what could be any major city in the world. There is open seating at each performance and limited free tickets with reservations available for patrons.

Directed by Tom Haine, Romeo and Juliet features Jacob Hoff (Romeo), Danielle Bonjiovanni (Juliet), Isaac Rojas (Paris), Rebekah Bonney (Benvolio), Tyler Jones (Tybalt), Steve Smith (Mercutio), Julia Ackerman (Apothecary), Michael Mussman (Peter), Rickey Phatsenhann (Gregory), Walfred Rodas (Sampson/Friar John), Lesley Pearson (Nurse), Ray Lynch (Capulet), Liza Wismer (Lady Capulet), Martin White (Montague), Sandy Hotchkiss (Lady Montague), Steve Jensen (Friar Laurence) and Chris Marler (Prince).
